Hunter Hayes has added a member to his entourage – and new four-legged friend – and he introduced him in a YouTube video.

Hunter says his video is also serving as his notice to his band that Cole is their new “bus dog.”  He adds that Cole is “awesome” and “mellow,” but apparently “very camera shy.”  In the clip, Cole – a gorgeous fawn greyhound – adorably hides his face behind Hunter’s head a couple of times. For those who don’t know, greyhounds – while “very fast” as Hunter points out – are also described as “40-mile-an-hour couch potatoes” Why? Because they love a good lay-about.

Hunter and Cole will have a lot of time together on the bus this year.  In case you forgot, Hunter has a number of shows scheduled throughout the winter, including the GRAMMY in the Schools Live! concert in Los Angeles on today.  Plus, Hunter will be spending time over the spring and summer touring with Lady Antebellum.  He’s an opener on Lady A’s “Wheels Up” trek, which starts in May.
