Moore, who kicked off his first major headlining tour in New York last fall, confessed that he was initially shocked to learn he had such a huge fan base in the tri-state area.

“That whole area has become a hotbed for us,” he said in a video promoting the festival. “We’ve got some of our best fans right there and they’ve really latched onto us. We look forward to going there so much. I can’t wait to do the big festival there.”

Fellow Sounds of Summer tour mates Maddie & Tae also explained their surprise of having such avid country fans of their music in New York.
