Kelsea Ballerini has followed up her debut Number One hit, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” with a song called “Dibs.” Kelsea co-wrote the song, which she tells us was pretty easy to pen once the song title popped out. “‘Dibs’ was another accidental write, like ‘Love Me’ was. It’s me and three of my guy friends again, which is hilarious, and we had all written earlier that day and we all got together and we were writing a pretty slow song, and all of us were banging our heads up against the wall. It was one of those writes, and then I had the title ‘Dibs’ and I just kind of threw it out and then it wrote itself, and it was so much fun, like the talking part — (sings) ‘on your lips, on your kiss, on your time’ — like it was just a blast, and I think live it started going over really well and that’s what made us really excited to pick it.”

“Dibs” is the second single on her new album, The First Time.
