Join WYCD this Saturday, July 11, at Bill Brown Ford from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and show your support for our Wounded Warriors and see the super cool ‘High Five Tour,’ showcasing the ‘Mobility Is Freedom‘ program!

“We are excited to bring the High Five Tour 2015 to Livonia as part of our mission to say thanks to our country’s military families,” said Colonel John Folsom, USMCR (Ret.), founder and president of Wounded Warriors Family Support.

“We also are eager to tell the nation about our new ‘Mobility is Freedom’ program. Our belief is that given the right vehicle for mobility, combat-wounded veterans will have the freedom to live productive and quality lives with their families.”

Be sure to visit Bill Brown Ford on Plymouth Rd. in Livonia on Saturday, July 11, to show your support anytime between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., when the Wounded Warriors Family Support’s High Five Tour 2015, themed “Mobility is Freedom,” will be making its stop right here in Livonia!

In its sixth year, the High Five Tour 2015 is unique from previous tours. The High Five Tour’s two mobility-equipped vehicles – a 2015 Ford Explorer and 2015 Ford F-150 – are visiting 65 cities across 48 states in this street-level engagement, rallying communities to show appreciation and support to military families for their sacrifices.

The red, white and blue vehicles will travel more than 27,000 miles, making stops at car dealerships, community events, veterans’ organizations, military bases and race tracks.  The tour’s mission also is to raise funds to support Wounded Warriors Family Support’s new “Mobility is Freedom” program. The program aims to enhance the freedom and independence of combat-wounded veterans by providing grants to purchase Ford vehicles adapted to suit their unique needs.  During the 17-week tour, Wounded Warriors Family Support invites Americans of all walks of life to show their support for military families by visiting a stop on the tour and signing one of the vehicles with a message of gratitude to our country’s veterans and their families.

The mission of the Wounded Warriors Family Support is to provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. The families of our casualties suffer in many ways: some financially, some psychologically.

“When America Goes to War…
Our Families Go to War”
