Kenny Chesney sticks to a strict regimen of exercise and healthy eating when he’s on the road, but after he plays his last show on The Big Revival tour on August 29th in Foxborough, MA, the superstar will get to indulge.

Kenny tells The Dr. Don Show with Rachael and Grunwald that he loves to eat, but he has to keep it under control until the fall. “Well, if you’re me, you don’t snack a lot. It depends on what time of the year. It kind of defeats what I’m trying to do in getting ready to go on stage every night, but if I’m off the road and it’s in the fall and I’m watching football I’m like everybody else. I mean, I’ll eat a bag of Doritos sitting watching football all day on Sunday or whatever it is. I take that time off the road to drink a few beers and just eat, cause I grew up in East Tennessee and everything we did revolved around food, and so that’s not left me, you know? It’s part of my insanity, cause I still want to do that but I can’t (laughs), you know, and not do what I want to do every summer, but when I’m off the road I eat like everybody else, whatever it is. I love cheese. I love pasta. I love red wine. I love chocolate stuff, like everybody else.”

Kenny played the Rose Bowl in Pasadena over the weekend where he drew 53, 864 fans, including such celebs as Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, who sat side-stage. Kenny was surprised with a visit from legendary ABC sportscaster Keith Jackson, who presented him with a commemorative brick to be placed in the Brick Walk at the South Main Entrance and the first ever Rose Bowl Stadium jersey. Kenny said, “There is so much history just hearing that voice. Let alone seeing that face: all those games, all those plays he called. That’s the sound of me growing up! And what an honor to get to sit a bit on the bus and talk to him about everything he’s seen . . . even before the show started, I was having a pretty high-powered time.”
