Chris Young‘s upcoming album includes his first recorded duet with a female. The singer tapped The Voice alum Cassadee Pope to do the honors after hearing her sing at a radio event.

Chris tells us: “I played a radio show with her and I got to listen. I was gonna say had to (but) I got to listen to her sing two chairs down from me the entire night and I left (and) I was like, ‘I want her to do this,’ cause we’d already written the song, and everybody’s of course going, ‘I don’t know who we’re gonna get,’ cause it was right after Miranda and Carrie had done their duet together. I absolutely love her voice. I think she’s a phenomenal singer.”

There’s no word yet on when Chris’ new album will be released. The debut single, “I’m Comin’ Over,” is making its way up the Country charts.

As for Cassadee, her brand new single is called “I Am Invicible.” She debuted it last weeked during the Special Olympics.
