Granger Smith stopped by to chat with Rob & Linda and treated us to an acoustic performance of  “The Country Boy Song!” Listen here…

Granger Smith and alter ego Earl Dibbles Jr. will be rockin’ out at St. Andrews Hall tonight with WYCD! Before the big show tonight Granger will be stopping by to chat with Linda and I.  Like many other artists Granger is known as a “new artist” but has actually been releasing albums since 1998! Since then he’s performed at the White House, for soldiers in Iraq & Kuwait, and recently signed to Broken Bow Records who are known for artists like Jason Aldean, Randy Houser, Joe Nichols, Thompson Square and more!

Backroad Song is his latest single you can hear on WYCD. Granger’s alter ego Earl Dibbles Jr. was created as a joke to make fun of his relatives but became a YouTube sensation with millions of viewers on several of his video’s and has a huge following from trademark slogan’s like “YEE YEE!” “Crack a cold one” and “Put a good dip in.” I wonder if he ever gets tired of people’s requests to be EDJ? I’m sure his wife Amber and 4 yr old daughter London do. His 1 yr old son Lincoln obviously is too young to know his dad has an alter ego. Granger seems to love embracing the character though and normally ends his live shows with “The Country Boy Song” by Earl Dibbles Jr. Which actually doesn’t sound like a joke or parody song. It ROCKS!! Check it out…

Here’s his latest single “Backroad Song”
