Brothers Osborne had blast tracking all the crazy percussion on their debut album, Pawn Shop. For example, that’s a futon they’re playing on their breakout hit, “Rum.”

Brothers Osborne’s TJ Osborne talks about using a futon on “Rum.” “The worst thing you can do is not experiment. So, I just started playing this thing on an arm rest of a futon and it was in a demo and we went to rerecord it and couldn’t quite get the same sound. And we were like, ‘Man, let’s just use that.’ So we did (laughs).”
