Tonight on the Showdown, country newcomer Ashley Campbell puts her song “Remembering”, up against the champion, Trace Adkins’ “Jesus and Jones”. Last night, he won outright against the latest track from Big and Rich called “Lovin’ Lately”. Making it his first of the five wins needed to get into the Hall of Fame.

Check out Trace performing his song live on stage not too long ago:

However, tonight may be tougher for him than it seems!

Because, even though Ashley may be new to the scene, she’s been here before. Her father is the legendary Glen Campbell. In fact, when Glen was at the end of his touring days. He relied heavily on Ashley to be his banjo player, keyboardist and harmony vocalist.

This song is written for her ailing father, and after just one listen to “Remembering“. It’s clear. She’s ready to make her OWN mark on the country music industry.
