Thomas tell us why his ‘pelvic thrusting‘ days are over!
Thomas Rhett has got some pretty smooth moves on stage. He has taken a few choreography lessons, but a lot of it is naturally learned and self-taught. Thomas says, “Every sound check I try to practice on the stage that we’re gonna play on that night, ‘cause most every stage is different. Whether it’s concrete, or whether it’s plywood, or whether it’s Plexiglas, ‘cause it all requires different things. You can’t dance on concrete as well as you can dance on Plexiglas. And so for me, every show is a rehearsal, every show is practice for me.”
While a lot of people would disagree, Thomas says, “I realize that I’m not a great dancer, but I do love it, and I’ve given up the hip shaking. I don’t pelvic thrust anymore. Those were the beginning days of T.R. learnin’ how to dance.”
Thomas just celebrated his fifth consecutive #1 song with “Die A Happy Man,” and he’ll have a chance to get back on stage and show off his dance moves when he joins Jason Aldean for the We Were Here Tour 2016, which kicks off January 14th in Moline, Illinois.
