Scotty McCreery missed a killer meet-and-greet opportunity with another Full House star. After a run-in with John Stamos (a.k.a. Uncle Jesse), Scotty shared a flight with Jodie Sweetin over the weekend. But he was too shy to say hello. (How rude!)

The meet-and-greet would have been a great opportunity to compare notes on being former child stars. Jodie grew up playing Stephanie Tanner, and Scotty won American Idol when he was just 17.

Scotty’s time on Idol will be a big part of his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, which lands on May 3rd. Scotty talks about his book, American Idol, and shares advice for contestants on season 15. “That was honestly probably one of the most stressful times of my life, and I was just 17. So, I mean, it’s one of those things where that’s a time you should be having fun. And I was. I was having a blast! But I mean, it was seven days a week, making decisions. That’s why I’m saying like in the book, you’re really going to hear about a kid at 16-17 that had to grow up in an adult world and make decisions. So, just relax. Have fun. Take it all in. And before you know it, it’s all going to be over.”
