"My wife’s greatest dream came true today. She is in Heaven."

Joey Martin Feek, of the country duo Joey+Rory, has died.

Feek had been battling cancer for nearly two years. She was 40 years old.

In October Joey’s cancer took a turn for the worse and she made the decision to stop treatment and return home.

Rory, her husband and partner in music, documented Joey’s illness through a series of posts on his blog This Life I Live.

This evening he wrote the following message:

My wife’s greatest dream came true today.  She is in Heaven.

The cancer is gone, the pain has ceased and all her tears are dry.  Joey is in the arms of her beloved brother Justin and using her pretty voice to sing for her savior.

At 2:30 this afternoon, as we were gathered around her, holding hands and praying.. my precious bride breathed her last.  And a moment later took her first breath on the other side.
