Adele just played a massive show in her hometown at London’s O2 Arena, where she got a little chatty about her country roots! The British songstress performed her country sounding song from her “21” album called, “Don’t You Remember.” Before she began singing, she named dropped two artists who have influenced her, Garth Brooks and Alison Krauss!

Adele told a little story about her friend who was listening to country music, “He was listening to Garth Brooks and I was like, ‘oh this is nice. Whose this?’ He was like, ‘Garth Brooks.’ I had no idea who he was!”

She then added, “He was like, ‘He is Jesus… Jesus in America.’ So he made me a mix tape on CD.”

Jesus in America I love it! She went on to say, “Alison Krauss is one of my favorite artists. And when there’s country performances… not all of them, but when they do like acoustic, its kind of like a little gathering like this. So, this is me being ambitious and trying to pretend I’m a country artist”

Adele then wowed the crowd with her rendition of country. Take a look!
