Kane Brown is becoming a huge name this summer!

He released his debut album on March 18th, but even before that he was selling out shows left and right!

However, none of it would have happened if it weren’t for another up and comer named Lauren Alaina.

The were classmates at Georgia’s Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. And in an interview with Tasteofcountry.com, Kane said he was a very shy guy but one day Lauren came to him and said, “You need to sing. I feel like you can sing. So I did.”

Lauren recalled it like this: “He was really shy, and he wouldn’t sing in chorus class, and I said, ‘Come on, Kane, I think you could be a good singer,’ and then he started singing, and now look at him,”.

Props, Lauren!

You can catch Kane Brown on tour this summer with Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell and the Cadillac Three! They’re all going to be at DTE on June 17th! Ticket info HERE
