Beyoncé seems to be finding some new fans with her new album “Lemonade.” The album’s track “Daddy’s Lessons” features New Orleans horns and country lyrics, which hasn’t gone unnoticed by the country music community.
“There is just something intangible about it that it feels like a country song,” Dierks Bentley shared. “It’s not just choruses that are catchy and verses that could be intermixed anywhere as some pop songs are. It’s a real story that she tells about what’s going on in her life growing up.”
“She has some stories to tell – that’s clear on ‘Lemonade,’” adds Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild. “And that’s what makes country music great.”
The song has even been played on country radio stations, to positive feedback from fans, although so far has it’s only been played six times on country radio and it’s not actually being promoted to country stations.
