The man who robbed Scotty McCreery and his friends back in 2014 will be behind bars for a very long time.

As we previously told you, 21-year-old Mikkail Jamal Shaw pleaded guilty to his crimes, which included charges of second-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, burglary and conspiracy to commit robbery, and yesterday he was sentenced to 17 years in prison.

In addition to the jail time, Shaw must participate in mental health counseling and vocational training while behind bars. McCreery and the other victims were both present as Shaw’s sentencing was handed down.
