Trace Adkins was reportedly drunk at a charity performance Wednesday night in New Jersey.

According to video obtained by TMZ, the singer appears to slur his way through three songs at the fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

His performance was so bad, concertgoers reportedly left before the end of the show.

Adkins was the headliner for “Rockin’ Country Thunder 106’s Guys with Guitars Under the Stars” in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, which also featured David Nail and Love & Theft.

Following the incident, Adkins has agreed to donate his performance fee.

Adkins has battled alcohol addiction in the past. He last completed a rehab program in 2014, also completing a 28-day rehab stay in 2001.

“This illness is an everyday fight,” a source close to Adkins tells People. “Trace is a fighter and everyone is pulling for him.”
