Billboard magazine has just released an extensive list of the best there is in country music, and fans shouldn’t be too surprised to find out that George Strait holds the tile of number one country artist of all time.

George earns the honor thanks to his record 44 number ones on the Hot Country Songs chart, as well as his 26 number ones on the Top Country Albums chart, starting from 1964’s “Right or Wrong” to 2015’s “Cold Beer Conversation.” Coming in at number two behind George is Merle Haggard, followed by Willie Nelson, Alabama and Conway Twitty.

  • Elsewhere “Billboard” chart, Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” is the Hot Country Songs chart leader with 24 total weeks on top, while Shania Twain’s “Come On Over” is the number one country album of all time, spending 50 weeks at number one on the Top Country Albums chart.
