There are some new leaders sitting on top Billboard’s Country charts this week. It took 35 weeks, but Chris Lane’s latest single, “Fix,” lands at number one on the Country Airplay chart this week, his first ever number one single.
“I’m still in awe of the fact that I have my first number one , especially when you add that it’s my first single for the label,” Chris tells “Billboard.” “I’m humbled that country radio took a chance on a new artist, and I’m grateful. This has been a surreal feeling.”
Meanwhile, Jake Owen’s new album “American Love” tops the Country Album chart, moving 35,000 equivalent album units, and 29,000 in actual album sales. The record is Jake’s second album to land at number one, and his fifth Top Ten, with “American Love” also debuting at number four on the all-genre “Billboard” 200.
Finally, folks are really embracing “Setting the World on Fire,” Kenny Chesney’s duet with Pink. The song sold 93,000 copies in its first week to top the Country Digital Songs chart, his best first-week sales to date, and his first number one on this chart.
