Michael Phelps is adding to his gold medal collection as the U.S widens its lead in the Olympic medal count. A little more than an hour after winning gold in the individual 200-meter butterfly, Phelps collected another gold as part of the American four-by-200-meter freestyle relay team. Phelps captured his 21st gold medal, the 25th overall medal of his Olympic career.

As for the U.S. women’s gymnastics team, they’re bringing home their second consecutive gold medal. The team comprised of Aly RaismanGabby Douglas, Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian won in dominating fashion, beating silver medalist Russia by a jaw-dropping margin of over eight points. Raisman and Douglas are the only two U.S. women gymnasts to win three Olympic gold medals.

Elsewhere in Olympic news:

  • Defending women’s singles gold medalist Serena Williams is out of the Rio Olympics. The world’s number-one player was ousted in the third round by Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina 6-4, 6-3. Her stay in Rio is now over after also being eliminated in doubles with sister Venus on Sunday.
  • The U.S. women’s soccer team settled for a 2-2 draw with Colombia in their final first round match. Colombia’s Catalina Usme scored the tying goal on a free kick in stoppage time, her second goal of the game.Crystal Dunn scored in the 30th minute for the U.S., while 18-year-oldMallory Pugh found the net in the second half to become the youngest American to score a goal in Olympics history. Despite the draw, the Americans still win Group G with seven points. The U.S. will take on either Sweden, China, Australia or South Africa in the quarterfinals on Friday.
  • American men’s boxer Carlos Balderas [[bal-DARE-us]] is cruising into the lightweight quarterfinals. He scored a unanimous win over Japan’s Daisuke [[DICE-kay]] Narimatsu. The quarterfinals are Friday. Fellow U.S. boxer Charles Conwell fights India’s Krishan Vikas in a middleweight bout today.
  • Travis Stevens of Massachusetts earned the silver medal in Judo to add to United States Olympic-leading medal count.

In all, Team USA picked up another seven medals on Day Four, giving the Americans 26 total medals in Rio thus far. The U.S. has nine golds, eight silvers and nine bronze.
