Jason Aldean loved his last album, Old Boots, New Dirt, but he felt there was something missing. His new album, They Don’t Know, comes out today (Friday), and he goes back to the kind of songs that first put him on the map.
“For me, it was really just wanting to get back to what it is I feel I do the best. We got some rock up-tempo anthem type things on there and we also have some things that are really cool and a little more country. It’s getting back to the telling stories and things that I really enjoy.”
Jason will appear tonight on ACM Honors, accepting the prestigious Triple Crown Award for winning the New Male Vocalist, Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year awards. The show airs at 9 p.m. [ET] on CBS.
Also released today are Billy Ray Cyrus‘s Thin Line, The Complete Collection from Trio (Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt) and Chely Wright‘s I Am the Rain.
