While Taylor Swift may be everywhere these days, just ten years ago she was just a country star trying to make it in the business. In fact, Taylor’s self-titled debut came out exactly 10 years ago and of course the rest is history.

Taylor took to Instagram to mark the occasion with a throwback photo of her playing guitar in the studio. “10 years ago today, my first album came out. I couldn’t be more grateful today, thinking back on how much fun we’ve had and how you’ve encouraged me to change and grow,” she writes. “It’s been such an adventure, guys. Thank you for all of it.”

Of course a lot has happened in the ten years since the album came out. Taylor has gone on to win 10 GRAMMYs, with each of her studio albums selling at least four million units.

Here is Taylor’s 1st single ever, Tim McGraw.
