I’ll be honest, I cringed when I first saw this story. My first instinct was to keep scrolling, but for some reason I clicked and read the entire post – and I’m glad I did because it’s a story worth sharing.

After not a single person showed up to her son Mahlon’s 9th birthday party, Kristen Layne penned a heartbreaking blog on her website, Life on Peanut Layne, pleading that parents don’t forget to RSVP for events.

Kristen explained the entire incident, including a handful of pictures that are sure to rip your heart out of your chest.

I could provide a summary of Kristen’s blog in a series of quotes, but it’d likely be diluted.
