The Friends cast jumping around in a fountain, coupled with The Rembrandt’s “I’ll Be There for You,” is arguably the most iconic opening sequence in television history.

But guess what, the cast members hated everything about it.

This revelation came from Jennifer Aniston during a Monday appearance on BBC’s The One Show.

When asked about the Friends opening and theme, Aniston winced and said, “No one was really a big fan of that theme song.”

“We felt it was a little…I don’t know. Dancing in a pond? A fountain felt sort of odd,” adding, “We did it because we were told to.”
