Granger Smith proved that he believes the show must go on no matter what. The singer fell off the stage during his concert at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey Friday, but kept right on performing, even though he was in “excruciating pain.”

Granger was standing on an audio monitor that gave way, causing him to fall into a metal barricade. After the show he had to be hospitalized and treated for two broken ribs and a punctured and partially collapsed lung!

He later tweeted, “I took a pretty hard spill last night in Jersey. Thx for the well wishes! Y’all mean the world to me. I’ll be out of the hospital & 100% soon.”

The injuries have forced him to cancel shows in North Carolina and Texas, with information about future concerts up in the air at the moment.
