The sudden passing of actor Alan Thicke shocked the world.  At just 69 he was still so young.  My heart stopped when I heard the heartbreaking news.  Growing Pains was one of my favorite shows as a teen.  Mr. Seaver was like the perfect dad!

Alan Thicke  had a heart attack while he was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter. He was taken to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center around noon on Tuesday (12/13) where he was pronounced dead.

Back in the 1980s, Thicke helped create a number of iconic TV theme songs, including  The Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes.  His legacy will live on forever!  Stars took to social media to send their feelings of this beloved star.

“I loved Alan-he was one of the smartest and funniest men I have ever known- we shared a life changing success and friendship,” Thicke’s Growing Pains wife Joanna Kerns shared on social media.  “Alan made me laugh everyday-usually at myself. Loved you dearly RIP old friend.”

Robin Thicke broke his silence about his famous father sharing this on Instagram.
