A few days after Tarek and Christina El Moussa officially announced their separation, the fate of Flip or Flop has been revealed.
In a statement to People magazine, the TV stars further explained their split, as well as how they plan to continue their professional careers.
“We decided to separate while we reevaluated the next steps in our married life,” they said. “We believed this was in the best interests of the children and the best way to determine a path forward.”
They continued, “We plan to continue our professional life together by being professional, by doing our jobs well, by being prepared and by working hard.”
As far as a possible reunion goes, it doesn’t seem as though the El Moussa’s are interested in getting back together, as they are both already seeing other people.
“We have both dated other people following the separation, but neither of us is ready to announce anything in terms of another relationship,” they explained.
The former couple revealed earlier this week that they were calling it quits six months after an incident occurred in which the police needed to be called to their Orange County home to respond to “a possibly suicidal male with a gun.”
“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” they said on Monday. “We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.”
The El Moussa’s later said that Tarek was simply going for a hike to blow off steam, and took the gun for “protection from mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes and rattlesnakes.”
As their professional relationship will continue, Tarek and Christina will also be forever tied together by their two children, Taylor (6) and Brayden (15 months).
